Overview:

The ambitious goal o the education project is to actively contribute to the elimination of corruption and unethical practice in the Albanian education system by strengthening the necessary value system and democratisation in education. The project has involved 2 separate research phases and a conference to launch the findings. As a result of the findings, a series of training in ethics for teachers has been organised throughout Albania. We helped develop the training materials and a training plan in conjunction with the regional education departments across Albania.

What we will do:

In addition to helping roll out the training for teachers across the country, we are also rolling out a service based learning methodology across a range of schools. This encourages pupils to engage in community mapping, planning activities based on the results of the mapping and budgeting. The projects run in schools so far have resulted in significant community integration and engagements across many generations making each participant and their families feel more part of their local community.

What will be the impact:

Involving new schools and hundreds of pupils in these different projects ensures that educational and community development occurs.
